Chungnam Office of Education to Operate Safety Week Until the 18th... Inspection of Educational Facility Safety Chungnam Provincial Office of Education, which is conducting a 15-day Safety Week until the 18th, held a safety campaign.

The Chungnam Provincial Office of Education announced on the 7th that it will designate and operate the period until the 18th as the '2025 Safety Week' to create a safe educational environment, in conjunction with National Safety Day on the 16th.


This year's Safety Week is being held with the purpose of remembering the Sewol Ferry tragedy and raising students' awareness of safety to build a safer educational environment.


To this end, from 10 a.m. on the 7th, Superintendent Kim Ji-cheol, along with senior officials and staff, participated in a campaign at the main entrance of the education office, wearing sashes and distributing yellow ribbons in remembrance of the Sewol Ferry, to promote a culture of safety.


Employees of the provincial office of education who participated in the campaign pledged to work together to create a safe and healthy educational environment through prevention and practical action.


The provincial office of education plans to conduct comprehensive safety inspections of educational facilities, strengthen fire prevention activities, and actively promote disaster safety education and safety-related literary and artistic events at schools.


In addition, the office will hang safety banners at schools, promote the wearing of yellow ribbons, and publicize safety initiatives on its website, while encouraging all affiliated educational institutions to voluntarily participate in realizing a safer Chungnam education.


Superintendent Kim Ji-cheol said, "I offer my heartfelt condolences and deepest sympathy to the victims of the Sewol Ferry tragedy," and emphasized, "To ensure their sacrifice is not in vain, we will continue to foster a culture of respect for life and work tirelessly with Chungnam educators to make Chungnam education safe every day of the year."
