420 km Driving Range on a Single Charge
BMW Korea announced on the 7th that it will officially launch the premium pure electric Gran Coupe 'i4 eDrive40' in the domestic market.
The BMW i4 is the brand's first mid-size pure electric Gran Coupe, featuring BMW's unique dynamic driving performance, the elegant design of a 4-door coupe, and versatile space utilization. The newly introduced New i4 is a facelift model that incorporates new design elements both inside and out, adding sporty appeal and a luxurious feel while enhancing user convenience.
The BMW New i4 will be released in Korea in two trims: ▲i4 eDrive40 M Sport and ▲i4 eDrive40 M Sport Pro, with prices of 78.3 million KRW and 84.5 million KRW respectively (including VAT, with a 3.5% individual consumption tax applied).
The front of the new i4 eDrive40 features adaptive LED headlights with new vertical daytime running lights and a sophisticated diamond-patterned BMW kidney grille. The rear is equipped with laser rear lights that showcase intricate and three-dimensional graphics, adding a sporty sensibility.
The infotainment system comes standard with BMW Operating System 8.5, providing an intuitive and convenient digital experience. It supports 'QuickSelect,' which allows control of desired functions without navigating through submenus, and frequently used functions are arranged directly in the menu bar at the bottom of the control display for easy access.
The i4 eDrive40 is equipped with BMW's 5th generation electrified powertrain system. Through a single electric motor mounted on the rear axle, it delivers a maximum output of 340 horsepower and a maximum torque of 43.8 kg·m, accelerating from 0 to 100 km/h in just 5.6 seconds.
The energy consumption is 4.5 kWh/km on a combined basis, and the driving range per single charge is 420 km. The high-voltage battery capacity is 84 kWh, and it takes about 30 minutes to charge from 10% to 80% with fast charging.
The New i4 eDrive40 comes standard with Driving Assistant Professional, the brand's highest-level advanced driver assistance system. It includes Active Cruise Control with Stop & Go support, front and rear approach and collision warnings that detect pedestrians and bicycles, as well as lane departure prevention and lane keeping assistance functions.
Regarding the parking assistance system, the New i4 eDrive40 M Sport is equipped with the standard version of Parking Assistant, while the higher trim New i4 eDrive40 M Sport Pro features the Plus version.
