Paper Gift Certificates and Wolchul Pay Cards
Yeongam-gun, Jeollanam-do (Governor Woo Seunghee) has started providing the Farmers and Fishers Public Benefit Allowance to 10,583 recipients, finalized through the deliberation of the '2025 Farmers and Fishers Public Benefit Allowance Committee' from the 7th.
According to the county, the 11 towns and townships have established their own plans to distribute the allowance in the form of paper gift certificates and Wolchul Pay cards. In particular, considering the ongoing quarantine to prevent the spread of foot-and-mouth disease, livestock farms within the 3km quarantine zone or where an outbreak has occurred will receive the allowance sequentially after movement restrictions are lifted.
Farmers and fishers can receive the allowance at the town or township administrative welfare centers by presenting their ID. Those who are unable to collect the allowance this time can apply additionally at the administrative welfare centers in July.
Kim Jundoo, Head of the Agricultural Policy Division, said, "We hope that the Farmers and Fishers Public Benefit Allowance will be helpful to farmers and contribute to revitalizing the local economy."
