Changwon Special City Conducts On-Site Inspections of Wildfire-Prone Areas Ahead of Cheongmyeong and Hansik Jang Geumyong, Acting Mayor of Changwon Special City, Conducts On-Site Inspection of Wildfire-Prone Areas on Cheongmyeong and Hansik Days.

On this day, Jang Geum-yong, Acting Mayor of Changwon Special City, personally visited the wildfire monitoring post at Anmin Pass in Jangbok Mountain, Seongsan-gu, to check the readiness of wildfire monitors, and meticulously inspected the operation status of wildfire monitoring equipment, emergency contact systems, and wildfire response manuals.

He also directly inspected the restricted access areas around Jangbok Mountain, thoroughly checking the current status of restrictions, the installation of guide signs, and the condition of blocking facilities.

During the Cheongmyeong and Hansik period, as the "Severe" wildfire crisis alert continues in Seongsan-gu, entrance restriction notices have been posted at the main hiking trail entrances, and wildfire monitoring personnel are being intensively deployed to areas with a high frequency of burning activities, such as ancestral grave sites and rice field ridges.

Additionally, more than a quarter of all department and town/village office staff have been organized into on-site inspection teams, and joint crackdowns on illegal burning activities are being carried out by all departments, mobilizing the full administrative capacity to focus on wildfire prevention.

Acting Mayor Jang stated, "Due to the recent dry weather and strong winds, wildfires are occurring simultaneously in cities and counties across the region, and the 'Severe' wildfire crisis alert level remains in effect. As the wildfire risk is extremely high, we will further strengthen monitoring activities for prevention, and we ask citizens to refrain from burning rice field ridges and other burning activities."
