She purchased a 7-seater vehicle and makes six round trips a day, handling almost all daily activities for her daughter inside the car.

Amber’s daily routine starts at 7:30 a.m. She brushes her teeth, changes clothes, and even has breakfast inside the car. Li Tianjong has even installed a portable toilet in the vehicle so that her daughter can take care of all her needs inside the car.

Amber attends two kindergartens each day. One is Christchurch Kindergarten, which focuses on English education, and the other is Hong Kong Soka Kindergarten, which emphasizes Cantonese education.

The travel time between kindergartens is not wasted either. Meals and naps are taken inside the car, and during leisure time, Amber learns the traditional Chinese string instrument pipa and piano from her grandmother, and practices dancing with her mother.

Li explained that the two kindergartens are very close to minimize travel time and claimed that this method is common among parents in Hong Kong.

Some netizens who saw her parenting style criticized it, saying, “Has the mother considered her daughter’s emotions? The schedule for a 4-year-old is excessively adult-level.” Others defended it, saying, “If the child’s will is respected, it is a happy thing for parents and children to work together.”

Meanwhile, the term ‘Dochimom’ (a portmanteau of hedgehog and mom) recently gained popularity to the point of spawning parody videos. Comedian Lee Suji created a parody of the so-called ‘Daechidong Dochimom,’ who wears expensive luxury padded jackets and drives foreign cars to take her children to academies, which also became a hot topic.
