"Zelensky Fails to Honor Promise to U.S. to Halt Energy Attacks"
Meanwhile, Russian Missile Strike in Kryvyi Rih Leaves 18 Dead and 60 Injured
On the 5th (local time), Russia accused Ukraine of not halting attacks on Russian energy facilities as promised to the United States. The Russian Ministry of Defense claimed via Telegram that "the Kyiv regime of Ukraine has been intensifying attacks on Russian energy infrastructure using drones and shells since the morning of the 4th."
Russia pointed out that despite Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky promising the U.S. to cease attacks on Russian energy facilities for 30 days, Ukraine has not actually upheld this commitment. In response, Ukraine denied the claim, stating, "We have conducted attacks only targeting military objectives of the Russian occupying forces," rejecting Russia's assertions.
Meanwhile, on the 4th, at least 18 people were killed and 60 injured in a Russian missile strike in Kryvyi Rih, a southeastern city and the hometown of President Zelensky. Zelensky strongly condemned the attack, stating, "The missiles targeted an ordinary street densely populated with residences, playgrounds, shops, and restaurants." He emphasized, "62 people were injured in this attack, including 12 children," and added, "This attack clearly demonstrates Russia's cynical attitude and inhumane hatred."
