All People Power Party Lawmakers' Shocking Claim "Flattering Yoon Despite Tyranny... Should Not Nominate Candidate" [Yoon Seok-yeol Impeachment]

Former People Power Party lawmaker Kim Woong asserted on the 6th that "the People Power Party should not field a candidate in this presidential election."

Kim stated on Facebook that day, "The reason this election is taking place is due to the mistakes of our party's public official, former President Yoon Seok-yeol, and out of a proper sense of apology and reflection to the people, we should not field a candidate."

Kim criticized, "Our party is the primary collaborator in the impeachment of former President Yoon. It was our party's lawmakers who led the president's interference in party affairs and the party's transformation into a personal faction," adding, "Is that all? Our party has always protected and encouraged the president's misrule and tyranny."

He said, "From the commotion over Biden's visit, various suspicions surrounding First Lady Kim Geon-hee, the appointment of Han Dong-hoon as emergency committee chairman, the expansion of medical school quotas, 'silencing' security measures, to the suspicious speed limit changes at Yangpyeong High School, our party not only refrained from criticism but rather praised and encouraged these absurd acts.

He continued, "It was also the People Power Party that led the unjust attacks on Colonel Park Jeong-hoon, who tried to uncover the wrongful death of Chae Sang-byeong," and claimed, "The attitude our party showed toward former President Yoon's misrule and tyranny was one of fanatic flattery and competition for loyalty."

Kim said, "They flattered hoping for a petty nomination or to intervene in vested interests, deceiving as if it were unity for the party," adding, "The result of unconditional loyalty and flattery was the impeachment of former President Yoon, yet no one in our party takes responsibility."

He stated, "How can people who have never sincerely reflected on President Yoon Seok-yeol's tyranny appeal to the people to choose them?" We must gather everyone from the conscience forces within the Democratic Party to the rational progressive camp to select a people's candidate, and our party should dedicate itself to that people's candidate."
