Gyeonggi-do Provides RE100 Energy Loan Support... Up to 300 Million KRW Per Company

Gyeonggi Province will provide low-interest loans totaling 2.2 billion KRW to solar power generation operators to achieve Gyeonggi RE100.


The support targets are power generation operators with equipment capacity of 200kW or less, who install modules and inverters certified with the renewable energy KS certification from the Korea Energy Agency, and who have started construction after October 1, 2024, or have completed the construction plan notification approval.

Operators can receive low-interest loans at an annual rate of 1.8% through Hana Bank, covering up to 85% of the total project cost, with a maximum of 300 million KRW. This project will proceed sequentially until funds are exhausted.

Kim Yeon-ji, Director of the Energy Industry Division of Gyeonggi Province, said, "Gyeonggi Province is promoting ‘Gyeonggi RE100’ to achieve a 30% renewable energy supply target by 2030. Despite domestic and international economic difficulties, Gyeonggi Province will take the lead to ensure the renewable energy market does not shrink."
