Damyang County, South Jeolla Province (Governor Jeong Cheolwon), announced on the 6th that it held a "Safe Use of Agricultural Machinery Training" at the Dambit Agricultural Center of the Agricultural Technology Center on the 4th to prevent agricultural machinery accidents and improve convenience for users of rental agricultural equipment.


The training was attended by Governor Jeong Cheolwon, Park Eunseo, Vice Chairman of the Damyang County Council, and about 200 farmers. The program focused on six types of equipment that are frequently used and have high accident rates.


The training covered the operation and precautions for cultivators, management machines, tractors, brush cutters, rice transplanters, pest control machines, and grain harvesters, as well as self-maintenance techniques. The sessions will be held four times a month until December. In addition to theoretical instruction on the operating principles and safe use of each type of machinery, practical training on loading and unloading machinery and accident prevention was also provided.


A county official stated, "As the use of the Agricultural Machinery Rental Center increases, and more returning farmers and women farmers are using agricultural machinery, the demand for training is rising. Through customized safety training for agricultural machinery, we aim to improve the ability to use agricultural equipment and prevent accidents."
