On the same day, through his social networking service (SNS), Mayor Shin stated, "There is no more time to delay," and pointed out, "The consecutive election defeats are not simply due to political strategy failures or attacks from the opposing party, but because there has been no bone-cutting introspection from within."

He said, "The People Power Party must immediately form a ‘bone-cutting special committee for self-criticism and innovation’ and engage in substantial innovation rather than showy gestures," adding, "When coldly analyzing the causes of the conservative regime’s consecutive defeats, the core problem lies not externally but internally."

He continued, "The attitude of blaming others with anger, resentment, arrogance, and complacency without self-reflection has sunk conservatism," emphasizing, "The only way for conservatism to stand again is true innovation starting from self-criticism."

Mayor Shin also warned, "If the People Power Party tries to overlook the situation ignoring reality, it will continue to sink into a quagmire, and the free democratic Republic of Korea will bear the damage as well," stressing, "There is an urgent need for recognition within the party that revolutionary destruction and reconstruction are necessary."

He argued, "Politicians who are complacent with vested interests should boldly step down, and sincere figures must come to the forefront," stating that the upcoming early presidential election should be taken as the starting point of this transformation.

Shin Sang-jin said, "This time is not for underqualified candidates who are only known by name and lack philosophy, competence, conscience, and decency as leaders to step forward," adding, "I hope they reflect on themselves, take a step back to build their inner strength, and acquire the competence as true national leaders."

Mayor Shin wrote, "They must stop making the pure patriots who love the country cry for their petty political advancement."
