The ‘Dorasan Shuttle Train’ is the only regular train line that visits Dorasan Station by train. It had been suspended for a long time due to COVID-19 but resumed last August with a monthly operation for 100 passengers.

Due to the limited passenger capacity, it was difficult for group tourists to visit, and requests for increasing the number of tourists have continued steadily. Accordingly, Paju City decided to expand the passenger capacity to 200 per trip through continuous consultations with related organizations.

The ‘Dorasan Shuttle Train Linked Tour’ departs from Imjingang Station, passes through the Civilian Control Zone (CCZ), and arrives at Dorasan Station. After that, tourists transfer by bus to visit major DMZ tourist sites in sequence, including the Inter-Korean Transit Office, Dorasan Peace Park, Tongil Village, and the Third Tunnel, then board the train again at Dorasan Station to return to Imjingang Station.

Since March, Paju City has been actively promoting DMZ tourism by increasing the number of DMZ peace tourism entry vehicles from 65 to 90. The expansion of the ‘Dorasan Shuttle Train’ passenger capacity is also part of these efforts, expected to raise awareness of the historical and cultural value of the DMZ to more tourists and contribute to revitalizing the local economy.
