Goyang International Flower Expo Scheduled to Open on the 25th
Goyang Special City, Gyeonggi Province (Mayor Lee Dong-hwan) announced on the 4th that Ilsan Lake Park is set to offer citizens a beautiful spring scenery as the cherry blossoms enter their full bloom season.
According to the Korea Meteorological Administration's forecast on the 4th, this year's cherry blossoms are expected to start blooming on the 5th, 2 to 3 days later than usual due to the colder weather. Although there may be some variations depending on weather conditions, full bloom is anticipated around the 10th, creating a spectacular view.
Ilsan Lake Park is a landmark park in Goyang City, known for its harmonious scenery where diverse flowers and a vast lake blend beautifully.
The cherry blossom trees lining the walking paths around the lake bloom sequentially, allowing visitors to fully enjoy the spring atmosphere.
Additionally, the park is a popular spot for couples as it offers opportunities for picnics and photography amidst natural scenery, making it a special date destination.
A Goyang Special City official stated, "We are doing our best to ensure that citizens can safely enjoy the beautiful cherry blossoms," and added, "We hope many people create beautiful spring memories at Ilsan Lake Park with their families and loved ones."
Meanwhile, following the cherry blossom season, the Goyang International Flower Expo, featuring participants from 25 countries, is scheduled to be held at Ilsan Lake Park on April 25.
