Daegu Superintendent of Education Kang Eunhee stated on the 4th, "I respect the Constitutional Court's decision regarding the impeachment of the President," and added, "Now is the time for us to understand, embrace, and move toward unity."

In a letter released on this day, Superintendent Kang said, "Today, we are once again facing a historic moment. With the Constitutional Court's ruling on the presidential impeachment, our society is being called to deeper reflection and mature civic consciousness more than ever," adding, "Since the martial law declaration by the President last December, our people have experienced deep confusion and conflict amid differing perspectives and emotions. This has also been a time to reaffirm and defend the principles of democracy and constitutional values."

Superintendent Kang continued, "The decision of the Constitutional Court is a significant judgment that forms the foundation of a law-abiding nation, and as democratic citizens, we have a duty to respect that decision. Teaching our children the correct values of democratic procedures and the Constitution is an important responsibility for us adults living in this era," she added.

Superintendent Kang also said, "Daegu, which holds the noble spirit of the 2.28 Democratic Movement, is the cradle of democracy and a city that has always led the way in creating hope whenever the nation faced crises. Based on this Daegu spirit, let us choose trust over distrust, harmony over confrontation, and move forward into the future," she urged.

Superintendent Kang further stated, "The Daegu Office of Education will continue to firmly uphold the values of the rule of law and democracy without wavering.
