Park Jonghun, the Superintendent of Education for Gyeongnam, stated on the 4th regarding the decision to uphold the impeachment bill against President Yoon Sukyeol, "It is a decision that protects the constitutional order and restores the foundation of democracy."
In his statement, Superintendent Park said, "Today, a significant decision was made that will determine the fate of the Republic of Korea," and added, "This decision not only holds historical significance, but also presents an urgent challenge to every citizen of our time."
He continued, "During this time, our people have endured difficult days filled with anxiety and concern," and said, "Everyday life has collapsed, public opinion has been divided, and voices of conflict have erupted throughout society."
He emphasized, "Now, we must regain a stable daily life and move towards the restoration of democracy," adding, "From this moment on is an even more crucial period."
Superintendent Park urged, "Schools must become safe places for learning without any sense of insecurity, and all members of the educational community must prioritize the protection of our children above all else."
He also said, "We must do our utmost to ensure that our children can continue to learn properly in a stable environment."
Superintendent Park said, "Now is the time for all of us to come together with wisdom and capability," and added, "We firmly believe that we can build an even more mature democratic society."
He further stated, "Democracy must be revived through education, and schools should become educational environments that instill hope in future generations," and promised, "All our educational institutions and staff will devote themselves to fulfilling the duties of education without a single moment of negligence."
