Gyeongnam Governor Park Wansu: "Respect for Constitutional Court Decision, National Division Must Stop"

Promise to Maintain Steadfast Provincial Administration

On the 4th, following the approval of the impeachment motion against President Yoon Suk-yeol, Park Wansu, Governor of Gyeongnam Province, stated, "I respect the decision of the Constitutional Court," while expressing concerns about national division over the issue.

In a statement, Governor Park said, "The division of public opinion over the impeachment must not continue any longer," adding, "The Republic of Korea is currently going through difficult times both domestically and internationally."

He said, "I hope our society will move toward national unity by respecting and caring for each other."

He continued, "There are many difficulties in the local communities," and emphasized, "Gyeongnam Province will continue to work unwaveringly for the happiness of our residents and to warmly care for their lives."
