The Busan-Jinhae Free Economic Zone Authority attended the 'Foreign Investment Attraction Workshop' held at the Glad Hotel in Yeouido, Seoul on the 4th, where it presented its successful cases of attracting investment and future strategies.

Hosted by the Ministry of Trade, Industry and Energy, this workshop was attended by over 180 officials responsible for foreign investment from local governments, free economic zone authorities, and related organizations across the country. The event aimed to revitalize foreign direct investment (FDI) attraction and strengthen the capabilities of practitioners.

The workshop featured a variety of practical programs, including sessions on the foreign investment attraction system and global trends, collaboration methods between local governments and related organizations, and industry-specific customized attraction strategies, receiving positive responses from participants.

From the Free Economic Zone Authority, Lim Gwangmin, Director of Investment Promotion Division 1, gave a presentation on the topic of 'Successful Cases and Future Plans for Investment Attraction in the Busan-Jinhae Free Economic Zone.'

The presentation introduced major foreign-invested companies attracted by the Busan-Jinhae Free Economic Zone Authority, strategic approaches, and experiences of collaboration with related organizations, thereby expanding the platform for practical knowledge sharing among local governments.

Commissioner Park Sungho stated, "This workshop served as an opportunity to publicize the outstanding achievements of the Busan-Jinhae Free Economic Zone nationwide and was a very meaningful occasion to share ideas for cooperation and investment attraction among local governments." He added, "We will further strengthen our network with related organizations to accelerate foreign investment attraction and leap forward as a global investment hub."
