Governor Lee commented, "Even after the impeachment of President Park Geunhye, we failed to reform the 1987 Constitution, and as a result, President Moon Jaein is under investigation and President Yoon Sukyeol has been impeached," adding, "How long will we continue to create unhappy presidents and even more unhappy citizens?"
Governor Lee also stated, "The economy is in a fog, diplomacy has lost its direction, politics is mired in distrust, and public sentiment is fractured and reaching its extreme," and proposed, "Now is the time to create a system to resolve political conflict, gather the wisdom of all citizens so that the people can unite, and design a new constitution and the Seventh Republic to move toward national unification and prosperity."
