Former President Yoon Seok-yeol stated on the 4th, "I am very sorry and regretful for not meeting your expectations."

In a message released that afternoon through his legal representatives, former President Yoon said, "It was a great honor to have been able to work for the Republic of Korea."

He added, "I deeply thank everyone who supported and cheered for me despite my many shortcomings," and "I will always pray for my beloved Republic of Korea and its people."

On the same day at 11 a.m., the Constitutional Court held the impeachment trial verdict for President Yoon in the grand bench and unanimously accepted the National Assembly's impeachment motion.
