Jang Geumyong, Acting Mayor of Changwon Special City in Gyeongnam, presided over the first executive meeting on the 4th following the vacancy of Mayor Hong Nampyo, and urged all staff to ensure stable city administration without any disruptions.

At this executive meeting, in addition to the usual participants such as directors and department heads, the five district chiefs also attended, allowing for a wide range of discussions under the acting mayor system. Acting Mayor Jang strongly requested that all departments, centered around their respective directors and department heads, fulfill their responsibilities and duties in accordance with laws and regulations to prevent any administrative vacuum.

In particular, with Cheongmyeong Hansik approaching, Acting Mayor Jang instructed thorough wildfire prevention inspections by activating emergency response systems. Regarding the recent structure collapse accident at Changwon NC Park, he also asked for special attention to be paid to supporting the bereaved families and conducting safety inspections of various facilities through a joint task force formed with the Facilities Corporation and NC Dinos.

Additionally, he emphasized the need for thorough safety management to ensure a successful conclusion to the Jinhae Gunhangje Festival, which is attracting many visitors nationwide.

Acting Mayor Jang stated, "Above all, the importance of political neutrality and discipline among public officials cannot be overstated. We will do our utmost to ensure that all pending city projects, as well as pre-scheduled events and meetings, proceed without any setbacks so that citizens do not experience any inconvenience."
