Shilla University (President Heo Namsik) announced on the 4th that Professor Lee Eunju from the Graduate School of Counseling and Therapy has been elected as the 17th president of the Korean Art Therapy Association.
Professor Lee Eunju, who is the head professor of the Art Therapy Department at the Graduate School of Counseling and Therapy at Shilla University, has contributed to the development of the association through various research and education in the fields of art therapy and family studies.
She has also served as an editorial board member, training committee member, and senior vice president of the Korean Art Therapy Association, as well as president of the Korean Art Therapists Association. In addition, she has contributed to enhancing the professional capabilities of Korean art therapists through her activities in the Korean Graduate Schools of Counseling Association and the Korean Professors of Art Therapy Association. In recognition of these contributions, she was elected as the 17th president at the recent regular general meeting of the Korean Art Therapy Association.
Professor Lee Eunju of Shilla University stated, "Since its establishment in 1992, the Korean Art Therapy Association has continuously led the academic development and professionalism in the field of art therapy, taking the lead in training clinical art psychology counselors and establishing a high-level clinical and research foundation. With recent changes in social systems, such as the strengthening of qualifications for developmental rehabilitation services, regional investment projects, and education support voucher providers, there is an urgent need for exchange with public institutions and private organizations. Accordingly, I will do my utmost to achieve national recognition and certification for art therapists."
