The Liberty Unification Party, led by Pastor Jeon Gwang-hoon, stated on the 4th that it "cannot accept the recent impeachment ruling by the Constitutional Court to remove President Yoon Seok-yeol, as it is an unjust decision made under political attacks and biased media-driven public opinion."
In a statement released that day, the Liberty Unification Party called it "a very regrettable and unfortunate decision that leaves a deep scar in the history of the constitutional system."
The party added, "We will not stop the struggle to protect South Korea's liberal democracy and the rule of law," and declared, "From this moment on, we will carry out civil disobedience campaigns against the unjust ruling of the Constitutional Court to achieve stronger solidarity and national unity."
The President's National Defense Lawyers, a group supporting former President Yoon, also said in a media release, "We will not be discouraged by today's ruling and will continue the fight for a second founding of the nation together with the people."
