The Korean Bar Association stated on the 4th that "our society must respect and accept the Constitutional Court's decision" regarding the Constitutional Court's acceptance of President Yoon Seok-yeol's impeachment.
On the same day, the Bar Association issued a statement immediately after the Constitutional Court's ruling to dismiss President Yoon. The association clearly stated, "We emphasize that violent incidents cannot be justified for any reason," and added, "We hope that the Constitutional Court's decision will serve as an opportunity for our society's democracy and rule of law to mature to a higher level."
The Constitutional Court unanimously ruled by all eight justices to accept President Yoon Seok-yeol's impeachment and ordered his removal from the presidency. Acting Chief Justice Moon Hyung-bae announced at 11:22 a.m., "We hereby remove the respondent, President Yoon Seok-yeol, from office."
With this, President Yoon became the second president in the history of the Republic of Korea to be impeached, following former President Park Geun-hye. The effect of the removal took place immediately, and from that moment, President Yoon lost his position.
