[Yoon Seok-yeol Impeachment] Small and Medium Enterprises Urge "Stop Political Debates and Focus on Economic Recovery"

On the 4th, the Korea Federation of SMEs stated in a press release immediately after the dismissal of President Yoon Seok-yeol, "Recently, the Korean economy is facing a serious low-growth crisis amid the reorganization of the global economic order."

The Federation said, "Due to the spread of global protectionism originating from the U.S. and China's state-led large-scale corporate growth strategy, not only Korea's main industries but also advanced future industries are under threat," adding, "With high inflation, high interest rates, and high exchange rates, along with prolonged domestic demand sluggishness, SMEs are losing vitality, and closures of small business owners and self-employed individuals are rapidly increasing."

They continued, "Now is the time to heal political confrontation and conflicts, and to gather the strength and wisdom of all citizens to overcome the crisis of the Korean economy and restore its dynamism," expressing hope that "the Constitutional Court's decision to accept the impeachment will serve as an opportunity to unite the divided public opinion and lead the Republic of Korea onto a new path of growth."
