The Constitutional Court, upon dismissing former President Yoon Seok-yeol, will shred and burn the portrait of former President Yoon that was posted in all military units as the commander-in-chief of the armed forces.
According to the military on the 4th, Article 324 of the Ministry of National Defense Unit Management Regulations stipulates that when a president's term ends, the president's photo must be shredded and burned under the responsibility of the unit commander. The current regulations require that the president's photo be posted in the Ministry of National Defense headquarters minister's office and meeting rooms.

A Ministry of National Defense official explained, "Once the Constitutional Court's order for the president's dismissal is read and takes effect, each commander can handle the portrait according to the unit management regulations."
The vacant spot for the president's photo will remain empty until the next president takes office. The Ministry of National Defense official stated, "The photo of the acting president, the Prime Minister, will not be posted," adding, "When the next president is (elected) and the portrait is distributed, it will be posted then."
