Jeong Cheong-rae, the chairman of the National Assembly's impeachment prosecution committee, asserted on the 4th regarding the Constitutional Court's ruling on President Yoon Seok-yeol's impeachment trial that "President Yoon should be unanimously dismissed with an 8 to 0 vote."
Chairman Jeong, attending the Constitutional Court's ruling session on President Yoon's impeachment trial that morning, told reporters, "I earnestly pray together with the entire nation for the order to 'dismiss the respondent President Yoon Seok-yeol,'" expressing his stance.
Chairman Jeong stated, "If today's crimes are not punished, it is the same as encouraging tomorrow's crimes. By dismissing Yoon Seok-yeol, we must preemptively block future dictators and future leaders of rebellion," emphasizing, "No one can erase history written in blood with words, nor allow anyone to destroy a constitution written in blood."

He then raised his voice toward the Constitutional Court, saying, "It is the very duty and reason for existence of the Constitutional Court, as an institution that protects democracy and the constitution, to dismiss those who destroy the constitution."
Yoon's side lawyer Yoon Gap-geun responded to the question, "How do you anticipate the result?" by saying, "There is one clear and indisputable fact in the impeachment trial case."
