Democratic Party 41%, People Power Party 35% in Party Support Rates
A public opinion poll revealed that 57% of respondents believe President Yoon Seok-yeol should be impeached.
According to a regular public opinion survey released by Gallup on the 4th (conducted from the 1st to the 3rd nationwide among 1,001 people aged 18 and over via mobile phone interviews, with a margin of error of ±3.1 percentage points at a 95% confidence level, and a response rate of 13.7%), 57% answered in favor of impeaching President Yoon. Opposition to impeachment was 37%. Compared to last week, support for impeachment decreased by 3 percentage points, while opposition increased by 3 percentage points.

Regarding political orientation, 93% of progressives supported impeachment, while 74% of conservatives opposed it. Among moderates, who hold the casting vote, 67% expressed support for impeachment.
In terms of party support, the Democratic Party of Korea stood at 41%, and the People Power Party at 35%. The Democratic Party's support remained the same as last week, whereas the People Power Party's support rose by 2 percentage points, narrowing the gap between the two parties to within the margin of error.
Regarding the next leader, Lee Jae-myung, leader of the Democratic Party, received 34%, Kim Moon-soo, Minister of Employment and Labor, 9%, Han Dong-hoon, former leader of the People Power Party, 5%, Hong Joon-pyo, Mayor of Daegu, 4%, Oh Se-hoon, Mayor of Seoul, 2%, and Lee Jun-seok, member of the Reform New Party, former leader of the Jo-guk Innovation Party Cho Kuk, and former Prime Minister Lee Nak-yeon each received 1%.
Regarding the second trial verdict on Lee Jae-myung, leader of the Democratic Party, 40% responded that it was a proper judgment, while 46% said it was an improper judgment.
