Lee Jae-myung, leader of the Democratic Party of Korea, said on the 4th that it is a "critical phase" and added, "We will wait for a serious and wise judgment from the Constitutional Court together with the people."
On the same day, Lee made these remarks when he met with reporters while entering the Democratic Party leader's office at the National Assembly. When asked if he had any message for the Constitutional Court justices, he responded as above. He did not make any further comments in response to reporters' questions such as whether he expected a unanimous decision or how he anticipated the outcome.
Meanwhile, Lee and the Democratic Party leadership plan to hold an executive meeting at the National Assembly to observe the Constitutional Court's impeachment ruling. Afterward, they will announce their stance on the ruling and hold a party meeting to discuss future response measures.
