Yoo Young-sang, CEO of SK Telecom, announced on the 4th that the internally developed large language model (LLM) 'A.Dot X (A.X) 4.0' is in its final stages, and that development will continue this year to include multimodal and reasoning models.

On the same day, Yoo shared the company's business direction for this year through an article titled 'For the Renaissance of SK Telecom' on the internal intranet. He expressed his ambition to transform SK Telecom into a true AI company that combines the roles of AI demand and supply to fully realize 'money-making AI.'

Yoo identified 'GPUaaS' (Graphics Processing Unit as a Service) as a core area capable of delivering visible results in the AI business. He stated, "Based on cooperation with Lambda, GPUaaS is expected to generate rapid revenue starting with the Gasan data center in December last year," and added that they will provide various customized solutions such as 'modular data centers' for customers urgently needing data centers, security-focused customized data centers, and large-scale AI data centers.

In addition, he announced plans to introduce 'A.Dot Biz,' which efficiently handles daily tasks, and 'A.Dot Biz Pro,' a tool for specialized fields such as legal and tax affairs, to SK member companies within the year.

He also mentioned, "The global AI agent 'Aster,' preparing to enter the U.S. market, has launched its beta service," and said, "We will secure a broader user base by collaborating with telecommunications service providers from various countries, including the Global Telco AI Alliance (GTAA)."
