During the meeting, Mokpo VTS urged participants to take an active interest in maritime safety, emphasizing that many maritime accidents occur every year during the spring excursion season and the foggy season.

In particular, discussions were held on strengthening maritime traffic control in preparation for the foggy season, identifying improvements to ensure both maritime traffic safety and port operation efficiency in each sea area, and addressing issues such as vessel passage methods, obstacles in navigation routes, and illegal fishing activities that hinder maritime traffic safety.

Shim Kyubeom, head of the Mokpo VTS Center, stated, "We will continue to strengthen the organic cooperation system between Mokpo Regional VTS and its users, and do our utmost to prevent maritime accidents by identifying, discovering, and improving risk factors within our jurisdiction."
