According to the Mokpo Coast Guard on the 4th, this inspection was conducted to establish maritime law and order through multidimensional and intensive enforcement activities against acts that disrupt fishing order and threaten maritime safety.
Chief Kwon joined the Criminal Mobile Unit to patrol the waters near the Geumho Embankment and Byeolam-ri in Haenam County, directly inspecting vulnerable areas.
Chief Kwon stated, "To create a safer sea, we will strengthen safety management for maritime vulnerabilities in the jurisdiction and carry out enforcement activities in parallel to do our utmost to establish maritime law and order."
Meanwhile, the Criminal Mobile Unit deployed for this inspection recently cracked down on six seaweed farms operating outside their designated zones, four cases of illegal vessel modification or expansion, and one case of unlicensed operation while focusing on vulnerabilities within the jurisdiction.
