French bakery 'Milleang' partners with GS25 to launch luxury-grade convenience store desserts

GS25 announced on the 4th that it will launch desserts in collaboration with pastry chef Seo Yong-sang of Mille & Un, who won first place at the ‘Paris ?le-de-France Best Plan 2023 Competition.’ GS25 aims to elevate the level of convenience store desserts and secure differentiated competitiveness in the domestic dessert market.

Mille & Un is a bakery shop located in Paris, France, offering desserts that combine premium ingredients and delicate craftsmanship based on the artisan spirit of authentic French patisserie. Pastry chef Seo Yong-sang participated directly in the entire product development process, meticulously overseeing the taste and quality beyond simply providing recipes.


On the 3rd of this month, GS25 released the ‘Mille & Un Basque Cheesecake,’ and on the 10th, it will introduce the ‘Mille & Un Basque Cheesecake (Yuja),’ infused with yuja flavor. Both products boast deep flavor and a smooth texture by using cream cheese produced in Australia’s pristine regions and animal cream from France’s largest dairy cooperative. Baked carefully in the oven, these authentic Basque cheesecakes represent premium desserts that surpass the level of convenience store desserts. Each is priced at 3,200 KRW.


On the 8th, ‘Mille & Un Milk Cream Sandwich’ and ‘Mille & Un Black Sesame Cream Sandwich’ will be released, followed by ‘Mille & Un Red Bean Cream Sandwich’ and ‘Mille & Un Yuja Cream Sandwich’ on the 22nd. The cream sandwich products use fresh whipped cream instead of the conventional buttercream, delivering a clean and smooth taste.


Jung Si-hyun, MD of GS25 FF Team, said, “The collaboration with the world-renowned bakery Mille & Un will be an opportunity not just to launch new products but to raise the level of the domestic convenience store dessert market.” He added, “We will continue to expand our differentiated premium dessert lineup and strive to establish GS25 as a ‘dessert house of distinction.’”
