A car fell into the sea near Dongbaekri Port in Geumil-eup, Wando-gun, Jeollanam-do, resulting in the death of a driver in his 60s.
According to Wando Coast Guard on the 3rd, a report was received at around 3:28 p.m. that day that Mr. A (in his 60s), a resident of Geumil-eup, Wando-gun, had lost contact with others.

Mr. A's wife, who was traveling, was unable to reach her husband and asked an acquaintance for help. After receiving the acquaintance's report, the police began a search. During the search with the police, a local resident discovered traces at a nearby slipway that suggested a vehicle had fallen into the sea.
Subsequently, Mr. A was found inside the vehicle about 10 meters from the slipway near Dongbaekri Port in Geumil-eup. He was urgently transported to land, but was ultimately confirmed dead.
The Coast Guard is investigating the exact cause of the accident based on Mr. A's movements and nearby CCTV footage.
