Hongseong County in Chungnam, which suffered from the largest wildfire in its history in 2023, has launched a county-wide fundraising campaign to help residents affected by wildfires in the Yeongnam region.
Hongseong County announced that under the catchphrase "The warm hands we received, now let's share hope," it will conduct a county-wide fundraising campaign from the 3rd to the 11th to support residents affected by wildfires in the Yeongnam area.
The county plans to repay the nationwide support it received during the 2023 wildfire in Seobu-myeon by organizing a county-wide fundraising campaign, with the intention of helping residents affected by wildfires in Yeongnam.
The fundraising will target county officials, local institutions, organizations, businesses, and residents. For county officials, the campaign will be led by the Public Officials Labor Union.
In addition, the county plans to promote the campaign to institutions, organizations, and residents through media outlets and social media, aiming to create a voluntary fundraising atmosphere.
Lee Yongrok, the governor of Hongseong County, said, "I hope our residents will actively participate in this fundraising campaign with a spirit of gratitude," urging for strong interest and participation from the community.
