Jangseong County in Jeollanam-do announced on the 3rd that it held a tea time with civil servants in charge of civil affairs to promote a culture of integrity.
The county recently visited eight key departments handling civil affairs such as permits, finance and taxation, subsidies, and contracts/management to hold an 'Integrity Tea Time,' sharing difficulties encountered during official duties and suggestions for improvement. The 'Visiting Integrity Tea Time' was organized to listen to voices from the field and discuss ways to enhance integrity.

During the tea time, there were briefings on related laws such as the Improper Solicitation and Graft Act, the Conflict of Interest Prevention Act, and the Public Finance Recovery Act. Opinions were also gathered on eradicating abuse of power, procedures for reporting corrupt acts, and improving organizational practices.
The county plans to enhance integrity through a total of 41 detailed tasks in three areas, including the newly introduced 'Integrity On-call System' and 'Anti-corruption Integrity Text Messaging.' In particular, the Integrity On-call System surveys satisfaction after civil affairs are processed to identify areas for improvement, aiming to enhance the quality of civil services.
County Governor Kim Hanjong said, "For civil affairs, the integrity of public officials is more important than anything else," and added, "We will create a trusted public service culture through transparent and fair administration."
