Hampyeong County in Jeonnam is accelerating the project by holding a resident briefing session for the improvement construction of the National Road No. 22 interchange in the Oechi district.
According to Hampyeong County on the 3rd, the Gwangju National Land Management Office recently held a resident briefing session at the Wolya-myeon Community Center regarding the detailed design for the improvement construction of the National Road No. 22 interchange in the Oechi district of Hampyeong.
The Oechi district has long lacked a ramp (inclined road) connecting the Wolya-myeon area to National Road No. 22, causing inconvenience for local residents and road users, and the need for interchange improvement has been continuously raised.
The interchange improvement project aims to facilitate traffic flow in the Oechi district, provide a safer and more pleasant transportation environment for road users, and address the long-standing wishes of local residents.
The Gwangju National Land Management Office plans to invest approximately 3 billion KRW to construct an entrance ramp toward Gwangju on National Road No. 22 in the area of 335-6 Oechi-ri, Wolya-myeon. The project will be fully launched after collecting residents' opinions prior to construction, with the goal of starting this year.
Lee Eunil, head of the Facility Safety and Disaster Prevention Team at the Gwangju National Land Management Office, said, "We expect this interchange improvement project to enhance the convenience of movement for road users and have a positive impact on the quality of life in the local community. We will do our best to ensure that residents' opinions are actively reflected in the project."
Lee Sangik, Mayor of Hampyeong County, stated, "This project is essential for improving accessibility and development in Haebo-myeon, Wolya-myeon, and the Bitgreen National Industrial Complex. I would like to thank the Gwangju National Land Management Office and other related agencies for actively promoting the project, and we will continue to strive to improve the transportation environment through cooperation with the local community."
