'Concerts in Four Regions' to Enhance Accessibility for Residents
Various Cultural Events Reflecting Regional Characteristics to Be Held
Hwaseong City, which was promoted to a special city this year, will hold traveling arts and cultural events for local residents.
According to Hwaseong City on the 3rd, the city planned 'Concerts in Four Regions' to expand citizens' cultural and artistic experiences following the launch of the special city status. The purpose is to allow residents to directly enjoy performances by popular singers without having to travel long distances.

The city will hold events in each region starting with the Dongtan area concert held at Yeoul Park in Dongtan on the 21st of last month, followed by ▲Northern region in July (Bongdam 2 Ecological Sports Park) ▲Western region in August (Suno-eul Central Park in Saesol-dong) ▲Southern region in September (Dowon Sports Park in Hyangnam-eup).
In addition to this concert, the city will prepare various cultural events reflecting the characteristics of each region. In the Dongtan area, against the backdrop of Dongtan Lake Park and urban parks, events such as ▲Hwaseong Special City Launch Special Concert ▲Hwaseong Lunabit Festival ▲Hwaseong Jazz Festival ▲Dongtan Station Art Station 'Eco Forest Art Starship' exhibition will be held.
In the Eastern region, centered around Yunggeolleung and Jeongjo Hyo Park, visitors can enjoy ▲Yeondeung Music Festival ▲Jeongjo Hyo Cultural Festival ▲Gyeonggi Indie Music Festival ▲Year-end Night Festival. Among these, the 'Gyeonggi Indie Music Festival' is the largest indie music festival in the Gyeonggi-do area and is scheduled to be held for two days on September 20-21 at Jeongjo Hyo Park.
In the Western region, utilizing marine resources, tourist attractions, and local specialty resources, events such as ▲Hwaseong Boat Play Festival ▲Songsan Grape Festival ▲Hwaseong Special City Autumn Concert will visit the citizens.
Additionally, the city plans to operate small-scale performances such as 'Traveling Performance Venues' and 'Hwaseong City Art Troupe Performances' on a regular basis.
