LG Electronics is partnering with Kia to introduce an artificial intelligence (AI) mobility space solution. The plan is to advance the creation of spaces optimized for users' diverse lifestyles.

On the 3rd, at KINTEX in Goyang-si, Gyeonggi Province, during the '2025 Seoul Mobility Show,' LG Electronics and Kia signed a 'Business Agreement for Implementing Mobility Space Solutions Based on Platform Beyond Vehicle (PBV).' Ryu Jae-cheol, President of LG Electronics' Home Solutions Business Division, and Jung Won-jung, Vice President and Head of Kia's Domestic Business Division, attended. This agreement aims to combine LG Electronics' AI space solution capabilities with Kia's PBV technology to provide customers with a differentiated mobility space experience.
The concept cars first revealed at Kia's pavilion at the '2025 Seoul Mobility Show'?the Spielraum Studio and Spielraum Glow Cabin?represent the first step in showcasing the vision of both companies. 'Spielraum,' a German word meaning 'play space,' is an AI mobility space solution that integrates LG Electronics' customized home appliances into Kia's PV5. It allows users to create their own space with a combination of appliances and furniture tailored to their lifestyle.
The 'Spielraum Studio' is a concept car designed for solo entrepreneurs. It features AI appliances such as a modular styler, smart mirror, and coffee machine. It offers a personalized mobility space experience by suggesting styler courses that match travel time. For customers who enjoy outdoor activities like camping or picnics, the 'Spielraum Glow Cabin' is ideal, equipped with a refrigerator, microwave oven, and wine cellar.
Notably, the hub equipped with generative AI, 'LG ThinQ On,' can naturally converse with passengers and optimally control the appliances inside Spielraum. For example, users can register destinations in the navigation system according to their schedule through conversations with ThinQ On or operate the microwave oven based on recommended meals.
