JW Pharmaceutical announced on the 3rd that it donated approximately 100 million KRW worth of funds and pharmaceuticals to the Yeongnam region, which suffered extensive damage from a large-scale wildfire.
Fifty million KRW of the donation was entrusted to the Hope Bridge National Disaster Relief Association and will be used to support the livelihood, medical care, and housing of disaster victims in the affected areas, as well as wildfire damage recovery projects.
In addition, to aid disaster victims who may experience eye irritation and dryness due to the fire damage, JW Pharmaceutical plans to deliver relief pharmaceuticals worth 50 million KRW, including artificial tears "Friends Eye Drop" and low-irritant disposable bandages "HiMom Band Sensitive" that protect affected areas, through the Gyeongbuk Pharmacists Association.
A JW Pharmaceutical representative said, "We hope to contribute even a little to help disaster victims who suffered great damage from the unexpected wildfire to quickly restore their daily lives and regain stable living conditions."
Meanwhile, JW Pharmaceutical is carrying out various social contribution activities for local communities centered on the ESG Committee, and is fulfilling its social responsibilities by supporting underprivileged groups through the public interest foundation JW Lee Jong Ho Foundation.
