Gwangju Transportation Corporation (President Cho Ikmun) announced on the 3rd that it recently visited the Gwangju-si Dong-gu Welfare Center for the Disabled and carried out volunteer activities to support cultural and leisure opportunities for the physical and mental well-being of people with disabilities.
This event was organized to support the leisure activities of people with disabilities, who have relatively fewer opportunities for cultural experiences and outdoor activities. Various programs such as table tennis and drawing were held with enthusiastic participation, and Kim Yongim, a member of the Gwangju City Council, also joined the event.
Previously, at the end of last month, the corporation, together with SR Gwangju Crew Center, conducted an environmental cleanup campaign at Gwangju Songjeong Station Square to create a cleaner local community and encouraged active participation in public transportation to reduce carbon emissions and realize a greener Gwangju.
In addition, the corporation continues to spread warmth throughout the region by engaging in various sharing activities, such as volunteer visits to facilities for the underprivileged, helping with farm work for urban-rural coexistence and development, and delivering social contribution donations.
President Cho Ikmun said, "I am pleased that our executives and staff can contribute to regional coexistence with one heart," and added, "We will continue to take the lead in fulfilling our social responsibilities as a public corporation through various social contribution activities."
