Shinan County Council Chairman Lee Sangju Seeks Cooperation Between Shinan and Mokpo with Mokpo City Council

Discussing Strategies for Mutual Growth and Cooperation

The Shinan County Council in Jeonnam (Chairman Lee Sangjoo) announced on the 3rd that it held discussions with the Mokpo City Council on the 31st of last month to explore ways to promote mutual growth and cooperation between Shinan and Mokpo.

With the recent vacancies in the leadership positions of both Shinan County and Mokpo City, concerns have been rising that the cooperative foundation built between the two regions could be shaken. In response, Chairman Lee Sangjoo met with Chairman Cho Seongo of Mokpo City Council to gauge public opinion among local residents and discuss strategies for mutual cooperation.

Chairman Lee Sangjoo stated, "It is important to create an atmosphere that both local communities can relate to," and added, "We will strengthen our cooperation with Mokpo City Council to address the pressing issues that both local governments must resolve together."

Chairman Cho Seongo of Mokpo City Council also promised to strengthen cooperation between the two councils, saying, "Mokpo City will focus on collaborating based on respect and understanding for the residents of Shinan County."

Meanwhile, as a follow-up to this meeting, the efforts for mutual growth are expected to continue, with the Deputy County Governor of Shinan and the Deputy Mayor of Mokpo, along with the council chairmen, planning to further discuss cooperation.
