Gyeongbuk Office of Education (Superintendent Lim Jong-sik) announced on the 3rd that it will provide emergency support kits consisting of daily necessities and school supplies to help students affected by the recent wildfire in Uiseong.
The Gyeongbuk Office of Education, in cooperation with the education support offices in five regions?Uiseong, Andong, Cheongsong, Yeongyang, and Yeongdeok?has confirmed 150 students eligible for support whose homes were either completely destroyed or partially damaged by the wildfire.
This package consists of essential items for students, including personal daily necessities worth around 100,000 won, a first aid kit, and school supplies. The Gyeongbuk Office of Education expects that this support will provide practical help for affected students to recover their daily lives and continue their studies.
In addition, the Gyeongbuk Office of Education is seeking further support measures in cooperation with emergency relief organizations, social welfare agencies, and corporations, and is also planning to establish long-term support so that affected students can continue their education in a stable learning environment.
Lim Jong-sik, Superintendent of Gyeongbuk Office of Education, said, "I would like to express my deepest condolences to the students and families who are experiencing difficulties due to the wildfire," adding, "The Gyeongbuk Office of Education will spare no effort to provide the necessary support so that students can continue their studies."
