With the introduction of the service, Hana Pay users will be able to use QR payments during overseas travel without separate currency exchange.

Previously, the GLN overseas QR payment service was provided through the Hana 1Q app and Hana Money app within the Hana Financial Group. The company expects that with the introduction to Hana Pay, it will establish itself as the group's representative overseas payment service.

Hana Pay is a digital payment service used by 12 million Hana Card customers in Korea. Through linkage with the GLN overseas QR payment service, it is expected to grow into an integrated financial platform capable of overseas QR payments.

In particular, the QR payment method, which does not require offline currency exchange procedures, will provide overseas travelers with an economical and convenient payment service experience.

GLN is a travel-specialized financial service company offering QR payment and QR withdrawal (ATM) services in countries such as Thailand, Vietnam, Laos, and Japan. It was established in 2021 as a subsidiary of Hana Bank.

Sung Young-su, CEO of Hana Card, said, "We have enhanced customer convenience through various global financial services such as the Travelog card," adding, "With the introduction of the GLN overseas QR payment service, we will provide a more differentiated global mobile financial experience."
