In Namhae, National Hometown Namhae MasigoRUN Marathon Held

The '2025 Gukmin Gohyang Namhae MashigoRUN Marathon' will be held on the afternoon of the 26th at Changseon Sports Park.

This event, hosted by the Namhae County Sports Association in Gyeongnam, is expected to attract around 1,500 participants from across the country, offering them the chance to enjoy beautiful coastal views and the scenery of gosari fields.

The marathon features two courses: 10km and 5km. The 10km course starts at Changseon Sports Park, passes through Oyong Breakwater, and loops around Sikpo Village, while the 5km course turns back at Oyong Breakwater. The entry fee is 30,000 KRW for the 5km and 40,000 KRW for the 10km, and applications can be submitted through the event website until the 13th.

Prior to the marathon, from 2:30 p.m., there will be various pre-event performances, including a Samdong Nanta performance and a Taekwondo dance performance by Kosin University. The '2025 Hogukseongji Namhae Proclamation Ceremony,' commemorating Namhae's historical significance and its symbolism in national defense, will also be held. In addition, a variety of local specialties will be on sale and food booths will be available so visitors can enjoy the tastes and charms of Namhae.

To ensure the smooth operation of the event, a 5km section from Changseon Sports Park to Rural Road Changseon-myeon Route 207 (Oyong Breakwater) to Sikpo Village will be controlled from 3 p.m. to 6 p.m. for three hours. For the convenience of participants and visitors, nearby parking lots such as Dongdaeman Ecological Park and Changseon Sports Park will be secured, and shuttle buses will be available for those parking at the lot under Changseon Bridge (Samdong Jijok) and Danhang Parking Lot.

Participants in this event will receive generous prizes and gifts. For the 10km course, individuals (male/female) and teams placing 1st to 3rd will receive prize money.

Before the awards ceremony, there will be a congratulatory performance by singer Cyburger and various other programs, making it a great opportunity to enjoy Namhae's beautiful nature while promoting health and wellness.
