'Hetban Rice Plan' Surpasses 1.5 Million Units Sold in Just 5 Months Since Launch

CJ CheilJedang announced on the 3rd that 'Hetbahn Rice Plan' has surpassed cumulative sales of 1.5 million units just five months after its launch. This sales speed is more than twice as fast as Hetbahn Konjac Rice, one of Hetbahn's wellness products. The company analyzed this as a result reflecting the wellness trend aimed at a healthy lifestyle.


'Hetban Rice Plan' Surpasses 1.5 Million Units Sold in Just 5 Months Since Launch

Launched at the end of last year, 'Hetbahn Rice Plan' features recipes from Professor Jeong Heewon of Geriatrics, who is gaining attention for low-speed diet management. The product consists of two types: 'Hetbahn Lentil Brown Rice+' and 'Hetbahn Farro Whole Grain Rice+'. Both products provide protein equivalent to more than one boiled egg and dietary fiber equivalent to more than five bananas.


'Hetbahn Lentil Brown Rice+' is a product that blends lentils as the core ingredient with oats, brown rice, and white rice in a 4:2:2:2 ratio, containing 11g of protein and 15.3g of dietary fiber. 'Hetbahn Farro Whole Grain Rice+' combines farro, an ancient grain type of wheat, with various whole grains, containing 8g of protein and 12.2g of dietary fiber. Farro is one of the top 10 ancient grains selected by the Rural Development Administration.


The secret to the popularity of 'Hetbahn Rice Plan' lies in the blend of various mixed grains, making it easy to control meal portions and enabling diet management with a satisfying meal. Additionally, it allows anyone to conveniently enjoy mixed grains, which are usually cumbersome to cook. Following 'Hetbahn Sotban,' CJ CheilJedang applied vacuum pressure sterilization (PSPS), a differentiated cooking technology, to enhance the texture and taste quality of mixed grains.


A CJ CheilJedang official said, "As more consumers practice healthy eating habits recently, interest and demand for wellness product lines are rapidly expanding," adding, "Based on Hetbahn's quality know-how and technological capabilities, we will expand the product lineup and achieve the 'home-cooked mealization' of Hetbahn, enabling smart and systematic diet management just by changing the rice."
