Guro-gu to Operate Parent Programs in 2025

Guro-gu (Mayor Jang In-hong) will operate the '2025 Parent Program' at the Guro Learning Support Center until December.

The parent program is designed to provide ongoing parent education lectures for parents in the district, aiming to improve the relationship between parents and children and offer useful learning information for child guidance.

The program consists of △ Child education through the lens of humanities △ Scientific thinking applied to daily life △ Subjects our elementary and middle school children must know △ Admission, reading, and career strategies for our elementary and middle school children that parents must know.

The education is divided into three terms: 1st term (March to May), 2nd term (May to July), and 3rd term (October to December), each lasting 6 to 8 weeks, with 50 participants accepted on a first-come, first-served basis per program.

These four programs will be held once a week for 90 or 120 minutes each session, with lectures conducted in the large lecture hall of the Guro Learning Support Center.

For the course "Subjects our elementary and middle school children must know," classes will also be held on Saturdays for working families, operating twice a week on Mondays and Saturdays.

The tuition fee, including the cost of textbooks, is free.

Anyone residing in Guro-gu can apply, and applications can be submitted through the Guro Learning Support Center website. For more details, please check the Guro Learning Support Center website or contact the Education Support Division of Guro-gu Office.

Mayor Jang In-hong of Guro-gu said, "I hope this program will be a meaningful time to share concerns about child education and grow together," and added, "We will continue to do our best to operate various educational programs in the future."
