Jinju Traditional Culture Experience Center Construction Project Design Service Briefing Held

Equipped with Traditional Accommodations and Multipurpose Cultural Experience Spaces

Jinju City, Gyeongnam held a briefing session for the 'Jinju Traditional Culture Experience Center Construction Project' implementation design service in the situation room on the 5th floor of City Hall.

The briefing session, held on the 2nd, was attended by Mayor Cho Kyu-il, representatives from the Jinju Cultural Tourism Foundation, the general planning team, public architects, the design service company, and related officials. During the session, they reviewed the design proposal, which was selected through last year's design competition for its harmony of traditional beauty, modern practicality, and local history and cultural experiences, and discussed the project direction.

The Jinju Traditional Culture Experience Center is being promoted as part of the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism's Southern Region Tourism Development Plan. Located within Mangyeong Neighborhood Park, which offers views of Namgang River and Jinju Fortress, the center will feature authentic experience accommodations, a complex community space, and a multipurpose cultural experience area, with completion scheduled for the first half of 2026.

Mayor Cho Kyu-il stated, "The Traditional Culture Experience Center will become a landmark representing Jinju, combining the beauty of traditional Hanok, harmony with nature, and modern convenience," and added, "We will do our best to provide a unique experience by incorporating Jinju's traditions, history, and cultural heritage into a space where various generations can experience them together."
