Geochang County Launches Promotional Activities to Be Selected for Pumped Storage Power Plant Project

Geochang County in Gyeongnam, the Pumped Storage Power Plant Attraction Committee, and Korea Southern Power are actively conducting promotional activities to be selected for the pumped storage power plant project included in the 11th Basic Plan for Electricity Supply and Demand.

The county is holding promotional briefing sessions on attracting the pumped storage power plant for township officials until the 9th, sharing the necessity and expected benefits of the project and fostering a sense of consensus.

Kim Mijeong, Head of Economic and Corporate Affairs, stated, "Attracting a pumped storage power plant is an important project for revitalizing the local economy and ensuring a stable power supply, so the active interest and cooperation of officials and residents are essential." She added, "Through this briefing session, we aim to build consensus on the attraction of the project and do our utmost to be successfully selected."

Meanwhile, Geochang County plans to use this event as an opportunity to widely promote the necessity and expected benefits of attracting the pumped storage power plant and to continue promotional and support activities so that Geochang County can be selected as the optimal site.
