Basic Councilors: Lee Donkyun in Gwangyang, Kim Jaeyeol in Goheung, Noh Daehyun in Damyang

In the by-election for governor of Damyang County, Jeonnam, Jung Chulwon, the candidate from the Cho Kuk Innovation Party, was elected. As a result, the Cho Kuk Innovation Party has produced its 'first local government head.'
Jung won the election certificate by securing 12,860 votes (51.82%) out of a total of 24,969 votes, defeating Lee Jaejong, the Democratic Party of Korea candidate, who received 11,956 votes (48.17%), by a margin of 904 votes.

In the Gwangyang D constituency, which elects basic councilors, Lee Donkyun of the Democratic Party of Korea was elected, while in the Goheung Na constituency, independent candidate Kim Jaeyeol won.
In the Gwangyang City Council election, out of 30,960 eligible voters, 4,783 participated in the vote. Lee Donkyun of the Democratic Party of Korea received 2,998 votes (63.04%), defeating Lim Giju of the Progressive Party (1,509 votes, 31.73%) and Park Jongyeol of the Liberty Unification Party (248 votes, 5.21%).
In the Goheung County Council election, out of 9,678 eligible voters, 6,179 participated, recording the highest voter turnout in this nationwide by-election. Independent candidate Kim Jaeyeol won with 3,300 votes (54.07%), defeating Kim Donggwi of the Democratic Party of Korea, who received 2,803 votes (45.92%).
Meanwhile, in the Damyang County Council election, Noh Daehyun of the Democratic Party of Korea was the sole candidate and was confirmed to be elected without a vote.
