The Innovation Party Produces Its First Local Government Head

In the Damyang County governor by-election in Jeollanam-do, Jung Chulwon, the candidate from the Cho Kuk Innovation Party, was elected. As a result, the Cho Kuk Innovation Party has produced its "first-ever local government head."

Jung won the election certificate by receiving 12,860 votes (51.82%) out of 24,969 votes, defeating Lee Jaejong of the Democratic Party of Korea, who received 11,956 votes (48.17%), by a margin of 904 votes.

Meanwhile, in the April 2 Damyang County governor by-election, there were 24,816 valid votes, 153 invalid votes, and 15,425 abstentions.
