This campaign was carried out with the participation of about 20 police officers and members of partner organizations. They informed citizens visiting the festival site about key crime prevention measures such as voice phishing and jeonse fraud, while also promoting flexible patrols and traffic accident prevention activities.
In particular, to prevent bicycle theft and car break-ins, which have been occurring frequently in the Gumi area recently, the police distributed leaflets and promotional materials, urging citizens to stay vigilant.
In addition, as methods of new financial crimes like voice phishing become increasingly sophisticated, the campaign focused on raising awareness about these risks.
A citizen who participated in the campaign responded positively, saying, "I trust the police more because they came directly and explained practical prevention methods."
An official from Gumi Police Station stated, "We will continue to communicate with citizens and do our best to create a safer local community by carrying out effective crime prevention activities."
